I recently purchased the Siemens 2602 wired router and trying to set up a network with 2 printers along with a desktop PC and a notebook. The 2 printers are both HP's: a 4L and a 940C. I converted the 4L to USB as was having trouble with it not printing once my desktop came out of sleep mode but once converted, problem solved.
Anyways, Both printers are connected to a desktop w/Win 98SE. My problem is that I am unsure which port to pick when setting up the printers on the notebook that is running Windows XP. XP states in the add printer window that the printers should be connected as local printers when not using a print server (Siemens 2602 does not have a print server) but the only choices are LPTs and COMs. I did not have to worry about this prior to setting up a network as the printers were detected upon initial desktop start up.
Any help on this last part of setup is greatly appreciated.
