I'm planning on getting the new 2200xp and thinking if it will work on my current k7s5a that I bought a year ago that has a 1.4g TB on it..
I heard only the newer revision support the XP chip.. how can I check that..
if I have an older board.. is there any way to flash the bios to make it work with XP chips?
anyone ?

The website says ver 3.x will support XP2400+ and XP2600+.

not sure about ver 1.x though. Try finding an ECS forum for better answers.

V1.0 will not support it; if that is what you have. Start by checking (it's stenciled on your MB) what version of the K7S5A you have. Also look around the CPU socket. There should be small stickers with "XP" on them around the socket.
As far as a site with "better information"; try this one.

Could be but it's been awhile since I've built with one of these boards. Was this located towards the bottom and between the PCI slots?
