Need help upgrading memory

Hi guys, I need some help here. I'm trying to upgrade my memory and I need some advice. Reading the manual that came with the PC tells me that it can handle up to 128mb per socket when it is organized as 16mb x 64. However, it says that it must be 64 bit, and it can not handle 72 bit (I'm not sure if this is a big deal or not). A little searching shows it to be a 168 pin module.

When I pull one of the current modules out, it says this on the chips:

9744 B USA
MT48LC2M8A1
DJ -10 S

And on a sticker:

MTBLSD264AG
- 66 CL2
9746AA5JT.018

My question is thus. What memory should I be looking for as an upgrade? I don't see people advertising memory as 64bit so I'm a little uncertain there. Also, the manual specifically states how the memory chips are to be organized ( 16mb x 64). Is this something I need to watch out for as well?

They are basically saying that your motherboard doesn't support ECC memory.

If you know the maker and model your motherboard (ASUS A7V333, Epox 8KHA+, etc...) OR know the company and model (Dell, Compaq, etc...) you can go to Crucial.com and they have a drop down menu for selecting all this stuff. They will tell you what kind of RAM you can use in that computer.

All DRAM, PC66 to PC133 and DDR-RAM PC1600 to PCxxxx is 64 bit. Only RAMBUS is different 16 bit or 32 bit if I remember correctly. EDO, etc... I don't know.

ddr ram is in 168-pin slot
normal ddr ram has 64 bits
72-bit is ddr ram with 8 bits of ECC(error correction code)

Actually it's not DDR RAM, DDR has 184 pins, SDR (single data rate) is 168 pin.
