Need help to choose PSU

Missing Ghost

Senior member
Hi, I'm having some problems to find a good PSU for me. This is to replace the PSU in an older dual P3 workstation. The problem is that I need a 24 pins ATX plug + the 6 pins AUX connector (2x 3.3V, 1x 5V, 3x ground). All the new psus look like they don't have this....
I also need at least 30 amps on the 5V line. I prefer psus that don't have dual fans. A single 80 or 120 is my favorite. I don't want to pay 300$ for a PSU.
What would you do?

All power supplies would have 24 pins that are atx v2.0

Get a forton 450w, or a seasonic s12 500w, depending on how much wattage your last psu used.

All theses psus look like they don't fit in my requirements.
Remember also that this is a computer with the cpu powered from the +5V.

Link the pin-out for the 6 pin you need, because I just looked and there is two each of
3.3V, 12V and GND. If you need differant voltages at the six pin, why not just remove the pins from the shell and install the pins you want??

Sumo class PSU=laughs as the load is put on it.

I have two Zippy/Emacs, a HG-2 6400P and a HP-2 6460P. In the above link go to the manufacturer's Site and download the english manual. The six pin is as I stated.

Son of a Gunderson! You might be looking for unobtainium.

Links worth a look.

I'll be interested in how this thread developes in the next couple of days. There are some very sharp ppl here.

EDIT: Just as my head hit the pillow, I realized that you are trying to mix two differant PSU specs. The plug in your linked pic is a very old Intel plug. Most I've seen are white with a P2 marked on the side.

Ok, I'll buy a PC P&C Turbocool 510 AG and do the mod (3.3v 3.3v 12v 12v ground ground) to (5v 3.3v 3.3v ground ground ground) with the help of one of the sata connectors.
