my cd rom is a toshiba 32x and i have a plextor 8/20... before i upgraded to my duron i had a p2 266 and while i had the intel chip i could copy cd's on the fly at 8x... but now after i've upgraded i've noticed that i can only copy cd's at 4x. i'm using Nero 5.0 ... it recognizes that my cd rom is a 32x drive but when i have determine write speed checked off it's supposed to check how fast it can read from the cd rom. The numbers i see are like 6x and up... but it goes up too slowly so when it comes time to burn, nero tells me that i gotta do it at 4x since my plextor cant do 6x. well before i upgraded i used to get like at least 16x reading from the cd rom so i could burn at 8x with no probs... what can be wrong now?? could it have something to do with upping my FSB? thanks in advance!
