SY-K7V DRAGON Plus!

Okay, I have been having problem with this for a LONG LONG time and would greatly appreciate anybody who can help me out.
First of all I'm using Soyo's Integrated Audio, namely C-Media's CMI8738 6-channel hardware audio (http://www.cmedia.com.tw/e_product_01.htm) and also using Cambridge Soundworks FPS2000 speakers (http://www.3dsoundsurge.com/reviews/fps2000/fps2000.html).

The reason I bought these speakers in the first place was that it gives me supposedly DIGITAL AUDIO. However I can never get DIGITAL AUDIO TO WORK AND I Don't know Why.

On the Speaker sub there's a Digital DIN input and I connected that to my sound card's SPDIF output...and there's absolutely NO SOUND. If i changed the wiring to analog then it could work but i'd really hate to not take advantage of my hardware...

Is it possible for me to get Digital sound all the time? thanks!

Can't help your issue, but there's a very good chance that analog out is actually the way to go. Don't assume that digital = better. It depends entirely on whether your sound controller or your speakers have better digital to analog conversion. Given your speakers, I'd say it's about the same.

ok now there's sound...i had to play with the plug a little, meaning pull it out a little bit. which is strange.

to get everything to work i also had to settle with a "2-speaker" setup because apparently that's the only SPDIF setting that was allowed...is this worth it?? :p
