Need help setting WDNS with tomato firmware. [Solved]

I followed this guide. I couldn't obtain the IP, because I think I set my SSID incorrectly.

Now I can't access the firmware page of the node. I used the normal 192.168.1.1 and tried 192.168.1.2; neither works. What should I do? A hard reset?

You should still be able to access the router's menu pages, using its LAN IP. However, the secondary WDS router generally has DHCP disabled (gets it from primary router), so if you were trying to configure the secondary router, you must first set a static IP on your PC to something on the same subnet.

Yes, go to your network card settings, under the IPv4 settings, change it from automatic, to specify a setting, use something like 192.168.1.11 / subnet mask 255.255.255.0 .
If your routers are on a different subnet 192.168.x.1, then change it appropriately.

Ok, I think I set it up correctly this time. On my smartphone I can see that the signal is greatly increased, however, I'm stuck at obtaining IP address.

Edit: Working now. Didn't know I had to connect to the primary router first.
