Need Help Setting Up WS_FTP Server

It's been about 5 years since I've set up an FTP server but basically I want to access to different drives from my home computer outside of the home.

I've set up what appears to be my username and admin group fine, however, I'm having trouble getting the two drives to show up in my user folder. I'm able to just delete the user\jjryanaudio which is where i by default end up and I can see them.

With that being said I remember before when I had an FTP I was able to make the link a text link since the IP address can change at my home address. I also didn't have to remember the number ip address then. Does this seem to sound familiar to anyone well enough to walk me through how to do this?

This program has gotten complicated since the last version I ran! Thanks.

This page describe few options to connect from the outside.

In Addition make sure that your ISP is Not blocking port21 (ftp port).

If it is blocked you have the set the ftp server to a different port and open it through the Firewalls.

When you are all set try to actually connect form the outside some Router do not support connection through the Internet from inside the same LAN.

while i probably can't walk you through setting it up, might you consider filezilla server? the way you share whole hard drives (from root and everything) is a little convoluted from what i remember, but its a solid server and its what i use.
