Need help setting up emule to work with Netgear MR814v3 router

I have set port forwarding in the router setup for the ports emule wants and still no go.

What do you mean no go? You are getting a low ID?

yes a low id and I have tried doing the port forwarding in the router setup for 4662 and 4278 but doesnt help. there is no option in teh router setup to specify whether the port is tcp or UDP so I dont know if that makes a difference. I have also disabled any software firewalls that I had so that shouldnt be causing a problem. Azureus seems to be working fine and I didnt even set up port forwarding for it.

I think you need 4661 also, and I see to remember a patch or update for false low IDs. Is it the latest eMule?

I got it I went ahead a reactivated windows firewall and reset it to total defaults and then readded the port exceptions. emule test still says it cant see theports but emule is now connected at a mega high id
