Need help setting up a Proxy Switcher...

I have read as much as I can find through Google, and I have tried installing every proxy scripter, from a CGI to PHP version, to the popular extension that can be installed in Firefox. And none of them want to work.

Can anyone guide me to a great source or provide help here to help me get one setup. I would like to be able to setup a proxy switcher that can be used for just general anomous internet surfing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
