Just to verify you've done the following

Did you forward port 21 on your router?
Did you allow an exception in the windows firewall for filezilla.exe?

You've setup your noIP client,
Have you made sure to set the filezilla settings as passive and use the IP number that noIP has given you?

Yes
Yes

The IP number would be the name that I selected, right? so it would be like z0mb13.no-ip.com or something like that? (instead of all numbers)

By the way do I need to download and install something from noip? I just signed up and log in at their website.

Also during filezilla start up, it asks to login to which server. I just click on and it should be corect? (I think the IP is like 127.xxx)

Thanks a lot for your help

So I'm pretty sure this is your issue, you need to actually download the client here and install it before it starts working, I just set it to run when windows starts. Once you have it installed you should have a noip icon in your task bar. If you mouse over the icon it will list your "static ip". This is the number you need to enter into the filezilla settings for the passive mode. Hope that makes some sense.

For the log into the server just leave the ip as 127.0.0.1 or whatever yours defaulted to.
