need help setting up a cd burner in Redhat

this computer I need to get info off of at work is running RedHat 7.0 and xroast can't find the cd burner because it is not a SCSI drive, its ATAPI.

it says i need to run a SCSI-emulator , but only gives extremely vague discription on how to do this.

can anyone help?

or is it easier just to update to 7.3? if so where is the best place to get the update?
