I?m in the process of building my first system but my knowledge of computer hardware is very thin. I purchased an Athlon classic 750 CPU plus motherboard from Tiger Direct and I have everything to complete the system, I hope, except a solid video card. The problem is I don?t know which card to buy and I?m hoping someone can steer me towards one.
The computer will mainly be used for work in Photoshop, Corel Draw, Illustrator, Flash, 3D Max, and the usual lineup of office programs. Gaming isn?t really a consideration. One thing I read is higher end cards designed for 3D gaming can cause text to appear blurry. I don?t know if that?s true but if it is I?d like to avoid that at all costs.
The motherboard has a 4x AGP slot and I?d like to keep the total price of the card under $150. I?m not looking for a glory card just a good, fast card. So what do you think, any suggestions?
