Ok well after messing with this thing a lot I give up and turn to you all to see if I can figure this out. I have had this card for about two weeks now, I purchased it along with a E6400 and the base intel board (kinda Sucks) I got everything together and after the RAM being incorrect (OCZ) I got it running. All was good it seemed until I tried to run the new Lego Star Wars game, which after the game started up and ran for a few seconds the computer would crash. I changed the resolution adn turned off the FAA and it seemed to work. Next on to BF2 played a bit with it but after a couple of days I started gettign horrible artifacting in the game after playing 10 or 15 mintues. I was getting what looked like moier effects inthe backgrounds and then players were sharp polygons.

I DLed ATI Tool and started running it. It would run for about 2 or 3 minutes then start to beep and tehre were yellow lines all over teh test window. I also DLed Riva Tunner so I could watch my card's temps and they seem fine, Anyways here is a pic of ATI tool running with Riva Tunner up aswell. This is pretty much what starts happening in BF2 but much worse. Is this a bad card???

I ordered an x1900xt 512 to replace this card (and to further future proof this machine) but Im worried its the motheboard or somethign else. Any help would be greatly appreviated! 🙂

Sorry the iage is so huge!!! Thanx for any help peeps!

I believe you're using the wrong version of ATItool. Try this one - Latest ATItool Which ATI drivers are you using?
I take it that you didn't have a different card in this build before this one?

Tried that out only lasted like 2:38:something while checking for artifacts. 🙁 Could there be somethign wrong with my pciexpress port on the board? I mean outside of games the card works perfectly na dmy drivers are the newest ones from ATI

I don't trust the ATI Tool artifact checker.
Have you tried any games and if so do they artifact too? (play CS:S for an hour)

ATI tool said my 7900GT overclock was bad but there is NO artifacting in ANY game I play.
BTW it looks like memory artifacting. Could be bad cooling.

Yeah you cant get through 20 min of BF2 without it going berserk and then it s over you can make crap out on the the screen! Like I said before Lego Starwars 2 reboots the machine!

I got my x1900xt in today and installed my Zalman fam and heatsinks on it, Im burning it in (I think it sasys to take it easy for 24 hours or so) I really want to be able to sell this x1900gt but cant if its broke!
