Need help running Serious Sam 2

I just installed the game. When I try to run it, it says:

Cannot load default player model!

I'm using WinXP and a GF3. Can anyone help?
Also, how do I make it so that it uses OpenGL to run it? I tried running GLsetup from the CD and it says that is only for win95/98.

Thanks for any help.

Modify the advanced rendering options from within the game.
