I've got a couple old ELO touchscreens:

http://media.elotouch.com/pdfs/manuals/008521_f.pdf
https://www.elotouch.com/1545l-disconti ... 2006.html/

They have the RS232 connections not the USB type input and no drivers for ARM. I've tried a couple different DB9 > USB adapters with no luck, but I wouldn't I still have the driver issue. Does anyone know if I can make this work. I might even be persuaded to give you one if there isn't a straight solution, but you believed you could create one.

Thanks for any direction

Is this the right forum?

Do you at least have the display working? I found a thread in a different forum suggesting HDMI to VGA converters. That forum might be a better place to ask your other questions too.

The touch component has me stumped. They sure don't have drivers for RPI, and I don't see documentation on how it works either.
