Long story short, I am currently using Att U-verse and I used to connect linksys E3000 to use it as bridge device and as a wireless and it work fine. However, I have a need to upgrade the router to dd-wrt. I upgrade successful, howeverm, somehow I can't get the E3000 as a bridge again, even with the same setting. Here is my old setting on how to get it to work. Any advice is appreciated.

The NVG 510 LAN ports are on the 192.168.1.x network

The E3000 WAN runs on the 192.168.1.x, and LAN is on the 192.168.2.x

For port forwading to work, you either have the E3000's WAN IP setup on the NVG's DMZ, or you have the port forwarded on both routers.

I suggest setting the E3000 up as a WAP: http://www.ezlan.net/router_AP.html

bridge device and as a wireless

This implies that you want to use it as a Repeater Bridge.

So "calm down" and explain functionally what you would like to do.

These are the few general options.

1. Repeater - http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Repeater_Bridge

2. Using Wireless Cable/DSL Routers (or Modem/Wireless Router) as a Switch with an Access Point - http://www.ezlan.net/router_AP.html

3. Client Bridge - http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Client_Bridged

😎

in short, All i want att router to do is to provide the internet, use a cat 5 cable to connect to e3000 so it will act as router and wireless function
