Need Help, Purchasing Today or Tomorrow! GTX 260!

Alright so after a lot of time spent trying to find the perfect graphics card and PSU update for me.
Ive decided to get the GTX 260 Core 216.
I'm pretty sure i'll get this one.

Because the price is unbeatable!

My plan was also to get the Antec EA500 PSU.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...E16817371007&Tpk=ea500

However the BFG GTX 260 says 525W minimum and 12V Current rating of 38A minimum.
What should I do? Get a better PSU?
I'm having a lot of trouble here because I've never bought a new PSU and want to make sure its compatible!
I know the EA500 is compatible with my computer because in this tutorial the guy has the exact same computer as me, the Dell 435MT.
http://www.voidware.com/index....sk=view&id=43&Itemid=2
He replaced his setup with a 4870 and the EA500.

He also mentions some info for the PSU to get:

· dimensions 150mm (W) x 140mm (D) x 86mm (H)
This is the smaller ATX standard with 150x180x86 being the larger standard (this won't fit!)

· A powerful enough PSU (for me 500W)

· The mainboard needs a 24 pin ATX connector 2x12 and a P8 (2x4 pin) CPU power connector.
This is the EPS12v standard.

· Also power for the DVD/HD and PCI-E power lines for graphics.

This'll all be on a I7-920, 6 gigs of ram, 24" 1920X1080 monitor.

Here are a few more 260/216's i've been debating on (although more expensive)

Really REALLY appreciate the help, because I'm losing my mind.

EA500 is plenty for a GTX 260. I had a GTX 260 & a 9600GSO running on a P5Q Pro for a while on an EA500 with no issues.

EDIT - after further thought.

Corsair 650TX $90 - $20MIR
Same price as EA500 after rebate. One of the best PSUs available today.

XFX GTX 260 $200 - $30MIR
Free shipping. Should save you $10-20 versus the BFG model, comes with the XFX Double Lifetime warranty (register within 30 days, can transfer lifetime warranty when you sell the card) that covers overclocking and everything.

Thanks for the input.
However, the corsair is 5.9"(W) x 3.4"(H) X 5.9"(L)
So it wouldnt fit.

The ea500 has 2 12v rails with 17a on each..
BFG recommends at least 38. Hmm?

Also the reason i liked the tigerdirect BFG is because its no tax, and only 1.99 shipping.
Final price is $181.
Not to mention the lifetime warranty and factory overclock, also no iffy mail in rebate trouble to go through.
Thoughts?

The Antec 500W will work just fine. The stated recommendations from BFG and other video card vendors overstate the needed power because there are many crappy power supplies who overstate their actual output. And thus they use the lowest common denominator, cover all of their bases, and etc.

The EA500 is also one of the best PSUs available today. However, the Corsair unit is only 10mm (~1/3 inch) longer/deeper; otherwise it is the same size as the Antec. How would it not fit?

Yeah I suppose it would probably fit but the Antec is tried and true with my exact setup, and considering its a great PSU I liked the idea.

Also I know that they overstate usually but if you look at the bottom right of the BFG spec sheet over here http://www.bfgtech.com/CMDocs/...-1-GTX260OCMAXCORE.pdf
You see that it says
"Minimum system power requirement based on a standard PC configured with an Intel
Core® 2 Extreme X6800 processor."

So yeah.. thats why I was asking.

I would get the corsair psu but the antec is a good one also

If you do buy that videocard, buy it through the live cashback link so you will get around $21 back
