My friend wants to buy a used laptop for himself to do two things. One-to run a simple CAD program and Two- to run a simple music editor program. I need help with suggestions on CHEAP laptops... The cheaper the better What's the minimum you think he should get in Mhz? I say 300 Mhz bare minimum. And RAM wise? Anyone with suggestions? Another question...last time I knew there was no way to build your own lap top....is that still a no go? Thanks in advance for any help!
 
You cant easily build your own laptop. You can located parts from certain manufacturers thru reseller status and build your own OEM laptop (the same laptops that many laptop manufacturers use). Your easiest route to a cheap laptop is here.
 
I think it would be good to have some sort of warranty or fall back...you know? Like something that if it is used...and doesnt work ..he isn't up shite creek... I don't exactly know how the AT selling works or heatware. Any help there?
