IN Award bios...submenu Pnp/PCi configuration

pnp os installed = yes (no: bios configures non-boot devices)

Resources Controlled by = manual (auto: bios assigns irqs and dmas)

Do you have another PCI slot available? try moving nic card...

just sos ya'll will know, the usb likes to travel with NIC stuff, don't know why, but it does.

I have had no problems sharing in all the rigs I have built.

There is a patch for the USB problem, might work, might not.

I have heard of many with problems concerning the USB micey's, you could always use a PS2 mousey until you figure it all out.

And, once you disable the com ports in the bios, your problems just might go away. Try this while you are in the bios, set the 'reset configuration data' to enabled or yes, then reboot (it will default back to off with the reboot, no need to change it back) and see if that helps.

Somewhere in all this you will find an answer.

Gotta love the AWE64 ISA, I am using it in my BXMaster M/B (my backup rig), still one of the best soundcards, if you have an ISA slot, and, never, I repeat, never has this card caused ANY problems. Sometimes older IS better. Just an opinion.
