We did the subject trip last year and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but it took us way too long to find the right metro, etc and burned alot of time just spinning our wheels... Hoping to do better this year...
Coming in from the northwest via I68, I70, I270...
I've got 5 kids from age 8 to 4 months old...
Looking for a safe metro on the northwest end of town off I270 to avoid traffic as much as possible, etc...
Primary goal is to make it to the Smithsonians and back with least amount of issues...
Is it even possible to find public parking in DC? I'm assuming the best bet is the metro... The kids like it anyway...
