need help picking hs/fan for abit NF7-S

running xp1700+ now @ default, but want to have room for cpu upgrade & moderate overclocking in the future. moderate noise is ok. will be using artic silver 3 with it. under $25 would be nice. pick something nice for me from newegg or svc .:beer:

try to get this babe silent Boost or the Volcano 12 both are excellent performers at a very good price

Thanks for the info guys! The Thermalright ALX-800 looks interesting, can I use an ordinary 80mm case fan and get decent performance with it? I am also leaning towards the Volcano 12.

Yes you can but the thin narrow gapped fins does not perform as well with a low speed fan like on the AX7 which I use.

Doh, they dont sell AX7s anymore.... shucks....

Is it better to use the stock oem heatsink that comes with XP2500+ or GC68?

Yea you have to seek and find the AX7's anymore :(. I think the GC68 would run the CPU cooler , also
The Kamikaze is a nice HS/Fan as well
