My best's friend is getting marry in February and I guess it's customary for the best man to organize a bachelor party. Probably 10-18 guests.

The thing is that I don't have a clue where to start, what to do, and how the cost should be split up?

What's the itinerary should be?
- Go out to eat & drink first at your favorite bar and then buy a bachelor package at Delilah's Den (Philadelphia)?

How should be all travel? Rent a party bus? Limo?

Help!

We're all going to Waikiki for the weekend... The bridesmaids are renting a suite at a nice hotel and the guys are sharing a friend's condo.

Golf
Bars
Strip clubs
One night when we're all togther for Halloween on the strip.

And then there's whatever the girls are doing. They're playing it up like they're taking a couple of spa days but I know better... :sneaky:

Cost depends on what you are doing. Major expenses should be paid upfront at the start of the night and split evenly among attendees (groom doesn't have to pay). These would be your fixed transportation/activity costs and it makes sure no one gets screwed by these costs

Non fixed costs (typically drinks/lapdance costs etc) I would think would be up to the individual. Again - if your groom is paying for anything you're probably doing it wrong 😀 Some bartenders love bachelor parties and will help you get the groom well and truly drunk - sometimes by making the groom drink some nasty - but free - stuff. Who wants a free round of greasy mexicans?! (Tequila and mayonnaise)

I've done party bus and limo and IMO the party bus was better. It was easier to move around and talk to people (more room to pass out on the way home) - and the driver let us bring a keg on board (didn't get as foamy as you'd think). Doesn't necessarily have the 'glamor' effect of a limo but I guess that depends on your group.

Try and make it as easy as possible for people to get to and from the party without driving. Maybe a group of people can crash at someone's house. Maybe they live close enough the limo/bus can pick them up. I went to one where the guys and girls party were on opp weekends so one or two from one group could pickup some people from the other group at the limo meeting location and drop them off at home. We also found that it was a good idea to have at least one person that stayed relatively conscious and could look after the shit faced groom during the night if need be.

Paintball is usually a good time. Go karts I would think depends on the anal-retentiveness of the employees there (ie does 'no bumping' really mean 'no bumping') and how restrictive the motors are

We did skydiving once. That was a blast but was on the more expensive side

I went to one that involved paintball (first and only time I've ever been), where the groom received a few nutshots, then strip club later.

it was a blast.

Interesting, thanks for the idea. When you sign up for the party bus, where do they take you? they pick you up and then drop you off at a predetermined destination or do they just drive around? How does it work?

I like the paintball, dinner and then strip club idea.

No problem! The party bus we had would take us anywhere we wanted to go - no pre-planned itinerary necessary. The best man (who was also the one tasked with staying the most sober to watch the groom) had the guys cell number. After he dropped us off he went to find a spot to park and wait and said 'I'll never be more than 5 min away'. When we were done with one place we called him and went to another. Rise/repeat.

(I don't know if this is true for how other party buses typically work)

The groomsmen including best man cover all costs equally...the groom parties free.

There are two types of party buses: 1) has an itinerary 2) just you pay for it's rental for the night and you direct traffic.

We did a bus for mine. Hit up a couple clubs ran into my wife and her friends at one place, then headed for the strip club.

It's usually best if everyone is staying at a hotel as sometimes who comes home first is a problem (we didn't care) also make it no phone calls between future spouses. I went to one bachelor party where it was clear their were major trust issues and she and he were calling each other none stop. Probably the most boring party too, we spent it at a pool hall and had 'wings' for the dinner...she was at a freaking spa and they still couldn't handle each other being apart.

Really depends what your crew is comfortable with. I have seen a lot of bachelor parties at a strip club and it's a bunch of dudes usually hiding in a corner and end up with one lap dance for the groom which the dance looks equally confused at what the limits are. Meanwhile they are forced to line up $10 beers or waters since they aren't tipping.

Remember that if you go to a strip club. They enforce a tipping or sipping rule and you will be asked to 'buy a water' if you have been nursing a single drink too long especially if you aren't at least throwing dollar bills. The guys there just for a free show fill up the club.

Hookers and blow. Anything else is just unecessary filler.
You got it right.

Just don't email any pictures to the bride. Unless you want them to break up I'm speaking from personal experience here:whiste:. Ban all cameras and cell phones just in case.
