need help optimizing my voodoo 5/duron 900 system

I ran the quake 3 demo 001 and got 72.7 at 1078x764 at 32 bit. I was told by Dave that I should get 80-85. What can I do to help it. I have the newest drivers and dx8. I put refresh optimization on performance. I also put depth precision on faster.

Some healthy advice;
I was suckered into believing other peoples claims about what I "should" be getting. There are maybe 2 people I've come across that claim numbers like Dave. Maybe it's because they have Intel, or a faster chipset, or they turned the LOD bias all the way up, or overclocked, or etc... In the end, all the tweaking (BIOS, registry, Driver sets, Quake 3 Dll's/ bat files, windows reinstall's, driver cleanings etc) were all a waste of time with very little or no improvement.

I'm with madthumbs on this one. If you don't trully need those extra few fps, then don't waste your time.

Hell, you probably won't notice the difference anyway.
