What the config page is saying is that you want to use your wireless in Bridge mode, however it is unlikely that your SMC router in Room B is compatible with this mode. You may be able to set the AP up as a client (mode 3) and have it communicate only with the Router. If not just leave it like it is. It should be secure enough, in addition you may be able to fake Bridge mode with strict security settings.
Anyway there are two solutions:
Solution A: Ditch the router in Room A. Unless you have computers attached to it (wasn't clear) you don't need this router. You can hook the AP right up to the Modem and the router in Room B will handle everything fine. Make sure your security on the wireless link is good b/c otherwise people can bypass your router/firewall and get to the internet (but not your network). In this case the SMC router will handle all the DHCP assignments/ Firewall etc. You can sell the Berlin router. (I guess there is a possibility that this won't work - but I think the Access point should be compatible just plugging it into the modem)
Solution B: Keep the router in Room A. The only time you would do this is if you have computers connected to the Berlin Router in Room A. Those computers need to be firewalled/ DHCPed/NATed so the Berlin router should be set up to handle DHCP, do all your firewall rules etc. You now need to turn off DHCP/ Firewall (basically turn off all the features except wireless security and print server) on the SMC router in Room B. the Berlin router in Room A will handle the DHCP assignments and will provide the same firewall protection for computers in Room B as in Room A. Just make sure your wireless security is good as your firewall is across a wireless connection.
How to make it all work:
Even if everything is configured, networking equipment can be finicky about big chagnes. So, do all your configuring, then shut down your network and all your computers. You'll want to turn on equipment based on it's proximity (logically not physically) to the DSL modem. So turn on the router (if you still have it) then the AP & computers in Room A if any, then the SMC router in Room B, then the computers in room B.
Good luck I hope this helps. Please someone say something If I've provided any wrong information here. I'm not an expert at this.
PS I just noticed that you have a wireless client in another room. Because you can connect to the internet I'm assuming it's connecting to the Access Point and not the Wireless Router. This would mean you can't set the AP in client mode or have very strict security on it. I would try accessing from Room C through the SMC router in Room B but if the signal is no good just set the AP to gateway mode.
