Hey People,
Im 18, in college, and i weigh about 220-230, and im about 5''4, i know i wont get
taller, but sure could lose the weight.

I don't eat much fried food, kinda hate it, i do eat rice alot, and sandwiches etc.
Ive dropped any kind of sodas for about the past 4-5 months, only been drinking water
maximum gatorade type stuff, but no carbonated drinks. I went to the gym every single
day of the week (except Fri,Sat,Sun) went for about 30 minutes to an hour, worked
all muscles and etc.

I have gotten stronger than previous, but i havent lost any weigh, infact probably gained more
its probably from the muscle gained i guess, but i want to lose weight, how can i achieve this ?
or has anyone has a noticeable experience. One of my friends suggested hydroxycut appetite control, it worked for him, he was a chubby guy, now hes skinny.

What do you guys think ?

Eat less? There really is no need to use drugs/whatever to help you lose weight. Find out how many calories per day you eat, and cut it back by 500. If you don't see result, cut another 500 out. Keep reducing your food intake until you lose the amount of weight you desire. If you use drugs to do it then you will just gain all that weight back as soon as you stop taking the drugs.

What you need to do is cardio on top of lifting AND you need to be in a caloric deficit. You should calculate what your basal metabolic rate is (you can find a BMR calc online easily) and then calculate approximately how much you burn while at the gym and then be a good amount below that. Also, you need to change your diet a bit. White rice is a high glycemic index food, as well are a lot of breads (especially white bread) which spikes your insulin. If you don't use that energy fairly soon after you eat it, it just converts itself to fat. I would say track your calories using something like sparkpeople.com. They are a weight-loss website that helps many people like yourself lose the pounds they don't want. They probably have more good info than I could ever spout off to you. Check it out and good luck.

EDIT: Also, don't take the "I'm too lazy to lose weight approach" and use drugs such as Hydroxycut. They have a hunger suppressant because you aren't eating the right foods. If you balance your intake of proteins, fats, and carbs, you won't be hungry. Research the Zone diet if you want to make sure you won't get like that, since they balance fats in your diet, which allow you to feel more satiated.

if you want to lose weight, try running.

Walking is a good start.
Ease your body into it otherwise you injure tendons.

If you dont have time to do 1-3 miles at a time, try running all out, as fast as you can for about 40 seconds, then walking 40 seconds to recover. Repeat 5 times.

This first time i did this i felt like i died and the day after, muscles were very sore. however it increases your endurance.

Keep up with aerobics and watch what you eat. After all the pain, you will start feeling guilty if you eat junk.
