I'm fairly new to trading on anandtec and so far out of 5 transactions, I have yet to have any problems at all. Last Friday (or saturday) I mailed out a package to a person that lives 2 states over from me total (700) miles TOPS. I mailed this item Priority to the person because I did not have as many references as he did. So I didnt have any problem with doing so. The Person recieved the package and was very happy with the material/item enclosed.

I asked if he had sent the package and he stated that he would send Monday (a week ago today). I have yet to see this package, I asked him if he had got a tracking # when he had mailed it and he said no.

This personal has many great references and I don't think he has one negative feedback.

It's been 7 days and I have yet to see my item.

Am I jumping the gun?
Am I too impatient. before I Flame the guy, I wanted to opinions from other traders.

Thank you in advance.

I Do not want to say the persons name for it's too early and I'm not here to make a bad name of anyone[/]

I would begin to worry, but give it another few days. Maybe he mailed a day or two late. Maybe he put the wrong zip on there by mistake or left off an apartment/suite number. That could delay it a few days until the PO decided it wants to look up the address.

He said he has insurance.

Why would you get insurance, but no Tracking number?

This kind of makes no sense to me and I'm confused.

7 days isn't unheard of, especially for usps priority mail (although it's usually faster then that). Chances are, with him being that close to you, it's coming via truck, which takes longer anyway. And he may have shipped it standard mail (especially if it was something like a stick of memory that was way under priority mail weight).

Wait another week, and if you still don't hear anything, head to trollhunters.org

Flaming him is your next step? You have to learn how to deal my friend. That is TOTALLY inappropriate. First of all, wait two weeks. If it hasn't arrived, ask for your money/items back. It is his responsibility to get it to you. If he failed to track it, that is his problem - not yours.

Yeah, I shouldnt have put that. I was just a little ticked off and annoyed.

I'm gonna handle this in a mature way, im just talking out of my ass in fustration. He got insurance for the package but no tracking. It was sent ground. I called USPS and gave them the # off the insurance paper and they told me they can note the account but cant track it.

Thank you for your advice,

Joe

Insurance will act as delivery confirmation.

If it is not logged, the sender should submit a claim form to the USPS. The USPS will require a certain time length to try and track the item. (30 days?).

1) Contact the shipper and request an option to cancel the transaction. It is up to you to decide if you wish to wait for USPS to track the item and/or take the settlement if they can not locate it.

2) The shipper must contact USPS for the insurance claim.

I assume its USPS then? Yes, 10 days is premature. USPS, except for express mail, cannot be "tracked" in a conventional sense.
