3 I- (aq) + 2 ClO- (aq) -> I3- (aq) + 2 Cl- (aq) + O2

Should be:

2 (H3O+) + 3I- + ClO- --->I3- + Cl- + 3 H2O

The Chlorine acts as the oxidant (Cl+ source) and the other oxygen is protonated off as water. Well, it makes sense to me that way. I really hate Gchem.
