need help on setup SER-U FTP

hi everyone,
I have SMC router and I setup an SERV_U ftp server but for some reason when i try to ftp into it i received a command like error say "500 P@SW error". can someone tell me what is going here? I notice that It can not load the content of the server into ftp window. but i can do all make directory. I only have problem with seeing film of the server.
please help

on port forwarding, i do this on SMC.

under Virtual Server, I put in FTP PORT 21 computer LAN IP and enable the computer

do i set port forwarding under virtual server or under special app?



do i need to enable PASSSIVE mode in servu ftp server ? if so do i need go give a ip for passve mode and portrange for passwive mode ?

I have no idea seeing as I use a Linksys router but what you are doing sounds right. On my Linksys router the thing you are looking for is called Forwarding.

You set PASV mode on the FTP client, and if it still doesn't work for you set PASV mode on the FTP server (once again I use something completely different so millage may very). No, you use the same IP and port for PASV.
