Hey guys,

Iam planning on building a new PIII system for my school works. Iam thinking of PIII 800-933, 128 MB RAM, not gonna OC it, but i want a stable system. Could you please help me to choose a good motherboard for my system. Any advise on components and where to buy parts would be highly appreciated 🙂

Thank you very much

Go to the For Sale forum and start digging. The Asus 815 boards are well respected but a little spendy. Their are lots of nice BX boards also, these are a nice option if you are not going to overclock too high. It is a real buyers market so pick out 2-3 different options and then look for the best deal. Good luck.

I've never had problems with my Abit VL6 and Tyan S1854 motherboards. They are both rock solid. The Abit VL6 w/ 667 MHz has been running Windows 2000 Server since the day I built it never had it crash once. Built my sister a computer with the Tyan S1854 and she's never had a problem with it.
