Newegg sucks. There marketing strategy was to undercut everyone build a loyal customer base, and then raise there prices... ZZF or Monarch... Woot.

I don't think you need 2 x 250 gig HDs. I like the 36gig raptor setup and then one massive 300 gig for files. You don't need a 3500+, I would just get a 3200.. You're good on the value ram. Have fun picking a GPU

Your freakin insane dude, a 130 dollar 36 gb hard drive over a 160+ gb?

So you've got:

AMD 3500+
x800XL $362
Forton 500w Blue storm
Corsair 1 gb value select
Seagate hard drive(s)
Chaintech Nf4 mobo

Looks great!

This is different than any other company how? Walmart, cable, telephone, and many other companies have done this and still do this.

Probably because one is a Newcastle core and one is a Winchester core. Winchester's are the newest core, and tweaks have made a lower Ghz run at the same effective speed as the higher clocked Necastle core.

but which one is better

Winchester. Newest, most overclockable, and runs cooler. It is also a 90nm die, instead of the Newcastle's bigger .13 micron die.

Go with the 3000+, its half the price and clocks to the same levels as the 3500+
Spend the money you save on your graphics card or monitor
