<< a tasteful spoiler is nothing more then nice trim. >>

That's what I've been trying to say. But around here, anything you do to your exterior is blasphemous. Headlight covers, new rims? RICER!!! (excuse the sarcasm...)

hehe yea, i guess throw sporty styling out with the spoiler for most cars too:p

"Strangely enough, the spoiler on the Mark IV Supra Turbo (yes the huge one) will add about 75 lbs. of downforce on the rear wheels and is in fact functional. "

At what speed? I'm just curious:)

I remember hearing that 75 mph was a good general minimum speed for a spoiler to have any function at all, and for the spoiler to be creating useful downforce 100 mph seems to be the minimum. Having seen the z28 and transam OE spoilers I can honestly say that they are too small and at an insufficient angle to produce any useful downforce.
Back on topic, take the Sentra to a body shop and have them attach the spoiler and match the paint, there are too many ways to screw up bodywork if a person is new at it. Trust me, it may look OK when you first mount it, but after a year or so you will be wishing you had it professionally done.

EDIT: iamwiz, "porche"? I think you mean "Porsche", there's an "s" in there. Just making a friendly correction, no flames about me being the grammar police please.

The automatic spoilers on the Porsches come up at like 60-65MPH I believe, so anything less than that would be useless, I'd imagine :)

well not really, because the volkwagen beetle does the same thing with its spoiler. I think its set at freeway speeds so you can think, oh yea, that turbonium is really kicking in :)

If you are up to it, mount it yourself, but to not paint it yourself, Spray paint won't cut it. You will regret it.

Oh hell, spray paint the damn thing. Like that factory orange peel is so fvcken awesome in the first place... please! Just watch you don't make any runs. Several light coats instead of a couple heavy ones. As was mentioned, the paint code is probably on the driver's door jamb.

BTW, Valhalla1 is my hero! Keep up the good work! :p

Oh, and I need a source for a tasteful spoiler for my 77 Town Car. Got any links?
