Need help on Mcafee Virus scanner

Today I was running my Mcafee Virus scanner, then this message came up:

i thought it was a temporary thing, but it didn't go away.....like a nightmare. Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?! and how can i fix it... THX!

btw, i ran Scandisk, no errors found.

really all that stuff is meaningless :D, just reinstall your AV? that always works.. can you reproduce the results?

The AV came with the system, so I had to restore the datas, but the same problem still occurs. I have no idea why the problem still occurs even I restored the files to the original state when I bought the system.

Here's a lil infomation about my computer:
HP pavilion 4520 at 433 Mhz not ocd.
128 Ram
Tnt2 Pro with Nvidia driver
Sound card which came with the system
Win98
