Need help on Green pixels blinking while playing games

I have a bunch of green pixels blinking randomly while I'm playing games, which is very annoying. What problem do I have? Could someone help me with this? Thanks

Do you overclock? What temp is your graphics card running at underload?

How do I see the temp when I'm playing? I never overclock it.

Yes, if you go to your graphics card's settings there should be a temp monitoring system there, run 3d mark and then abort it when it gets to the CPU tests and read the temp off then.

No I'm not running on LCD. I don't know the name of that green "thing", it's not pixels maybe.

I have my latest driver from Nvidia official website. This problem occurs when I play games with good graphics (FEAR, NFS most wanted, COD2).

My GPU temp is 50C when it's idle. I don't know the numbers when I'm playing the game. I'm gonna try to run 3d mark.

dust...make sure fan works. um...if it has a temp probe check temp..not all have it though. sounds like overheat.

What is the normal temp when running at underload?

if itd nvidia, a way to check when youre playing games is to lower the core slowdown threshold and check the box to notify when it reaches the threshold. then raise it until it doesnt alert you anymore, then youve got youre load temperature

kind of roundabout, but it works

What is "core slowdown threshold"? How do I lower the core slowdown threshold? I really have no idea what you're talking about T_T.

but more important is why would u overheat in the first place. it shouud not happen at stock speed and working fan

Use Rivatuner to monitor temps under load...
50 is quite hot in idle, therefore it is possible you hit >70 under load, which I prefer to stay under...

Yeah, 50C is hot for an idle temperature. Like I said in your other thread, I hit 65-70C with a passive (i.e. fanless) 6600GT under full load.

I just run 3dmark 2005. The temp reaches 74C using ntune monitor. Do you think it's overheating alot?

That's too hot, check the heatsink's clean and perhaps download rivatuner and make sure the fan is spinning at it's full speed for gaming.

I get artifacts if my temps get near 70*C.

I just bought aftermarket fan, Zalman VF700-cu. Will it help to lower the temp?

Yes. Oh yes.

However if it's not temp related by using it you'd void your waranty if you take the current heatsink off so i'd try and sort it first just in case.

I installed rivatuner and check the fan perfomance. They are working 100% for every category. I guess I need to see if the dust has covered up the fan. But I don't think it'd be that bad because I cleaned the entire case like a month ago.
