Need help on DOS scripting

Anyone know of any good sites for DOS scripting?

I need to take files such as:

c:\aaa\test.txt
c:\bbb\test.txt
c:\ccc\test.txt

and copy them to

c:\new\aaa-test.txt
c:\new\bbb-test.txt
c:\new\ccc-test.txt

Please help

I donno the syntax for dos shell, but give something like this a try: ?


cp /???/test.txt > ???-test.txt

I donno the dos equivalent to "?"

If you want it to complain that you can't name a file with a question mark, sure, that will work great.

Use the FOR command.

How about

xcopy c:\*.* c:\new\*.* /s

or something on those lines
