ok im trying to pick out parts for a friend of mines here is what i got so far

he is not going to over clock and will mostly playing games some light photoediting and burn cdr and dvds

i like the chaintech one too but im afriad they wont release bios for future cpu suport

asus already does

hey the psu is nice im going to switch to that one

great system he will run it on stock and down the road if he wants to
overclock he can just get a better HSF and he will be all set

i went to msi webpage and i cant tell if the msi board suports the venice chip !
i dont know if monarch made a mistake :-(

Usually, I think you do. Some may come from the factory Venice-ready though. I'm still not sure what will happen if you use a Venice core in a MB without a bios revision that supports it, but I think it'll probably boot and simply misdetect the cpu as a different core. If it doesn't boot at all, then you'd need a previous A64 chip to get the system to boot in order to flash the bios.
