Need help on a CoolerMaster case ATC 201B-SX2

Trying to decide on a case but I have been told that the one solid side panel and the top is a funk brownish grey / pewter color but it has an additional air-guide fan on the top (bonus). for a total of 4 fans as opposed to 3. I would think the top blowhole is one less mod that would need to be made and just deal with the funky side and top color. It also has a side window. Putting a P4 3.06

Do you have a link for where you are buying this? I can't find a pic of this exact model on the coolermaster site.

I have the ATC-201B SXK all brushed aluminum version of this case, only problem is mine doesn't have the top blowhole. I figure it's easier to add a top blowhole than it is to properly change the color of an aluminum case. I bought it here Pham Computer Yes, the Coolermaster case model you're looking at buying is a strange brown color which I personally hate more than beige.

So is it worth it to get the top blowhole (fan) and deal with the side panel color which could be a hideous pewter color to a greyish brown? It will be hidden in my desk but on a monthly basis I will take to LAN parties.

If you don't like the color, don't get the case. Get something that isn't painted. Get a Lian-Li or a Chenming. I have the ATC201SX and personally like the color of mine. The top fan is nice and helps with cooling as hot air rises. However, if you want to mod it yourself, getting a case without the top blowhole would not be cause for concern. Just put it in yourself.

My belief is that a case is a very personal choice. Some like Bling-Bling pre-modded ricer cases. Some like bare-boned cases that they transform themselves. There are many that fall in the middle. No one is going to like the same thing. There are a lot of choices of cases out there. I'm sure there's something that you will like that has all the features you want or at least the possibility to be modded to have them all.

the only problem with a brown case is that no drives or peripherals will match it. It will look weird. But if it's something you really like then get it. All of us like something different.

I think part of the problem you are having with the color is caused by the fact that those pictures were taken under what looks like sodium vapor lights. These lights, although efficient, throw off a very yellow light, which distorts color.
I've had to take photographs of equipment in that situation, and color balance is hard to get right!
