Audiovox rules dude!!! Accept no subsitutues.

You really need to be more specific. I like the Veloynes and HSU for home. And jl or eclipse for rollin'

56lb magnet, good luck getting it out of your truck...And you wont need to bolt it down, its damn near secure all by itself :)

Also - hope you dont have a small car, you need those things as far back from your wallet as possible. Else kiss your credit cards goodbye ;)

If you're talking car subs, then...
My younger brother was a car audio NUT...he was blind and had some other serious medical problems, so it all came down to sound. He died a short while ago, and before he went he bought a pair of 12" Kicker CompVR's, 2 Ohm version, and a sealed enclosure. Oh man, i hooked those bad boys up recently (in honor of my bro) into my car with it's 600Watt Kenwood Amp...the speakers come with internal crossover wiring, dropping the boys to 1 Ohm...and HOLY CRAP!!! Loudest, cleasnest bass I've ever heard! If you go that route, you will NOT be let down (but you must buy a good amp, at least 500Watts)...

Eclipse 8812
JL 12w3
IDQ12v2
Adire Audio Shive 12"

All very nice subs.. but if you really want a nice 12" sub that performs very well for the price, look at the Adire Audio Shiva 12" @ . http://www.adireaudio.com/car_audio/subwoofers/shiva.htm. Trust me, they don't look very good, but they are great... a hell of a lot of people are using them now and I haven't heard a bad thing about one yet. This goes the same for the IDQ.. Eclipse 8812 is a really nice sub, I have one actually.. but be prepared to fork over a decent amount of money for one.

Other brands I would recommend you look into are: Soundstream, Crystal, Audiomobile, A/D/S, Blueprint and Infinity
