And also i need help with setting the right voltage right now its on auto. The system is stable right now at 1.49 with temp at 45c idle and around 50 full load. And another thing is when i restart computer it doesnt restart and i have to push the restart button again and it will post at 11x100 is this because i havent unlocked the chip??? One more thing by "unlocking the chip" do i only close the L1 bridge ??? can someone give me a site where i can see how its done.

thanks really appreciate any help =]

ok first of all, crucial does make very good ram, however for overclocking crucial will usually top out at 145, I have read that some people have reached 150 with it but not usually. you might have better luck if you up the voltage to 1.80 or to 1.85 once you unlock the chip, and if that don't work you can try upping the IO voltage also to 3.50 or 3.60..make sure you have good cooling . You do this by going into the bios, you should see the voltages, hit enter and there should be a setting that says user define. I don't have that mobo so I'm not sure how exactly its worded. You don't have to unlock the chip but you should to reach the procs full potential.. check this link for the pencil trick- www.3dgameman.comcheck video reviews and scroll down for the pencil trick, good luck!

yes the L1 bridges should be closed already, and you are saying you have it running at 10x145 that means it is unlocked cause you changed the multiplier. and the restarting thing sounds like its still alittle unstable at 145, try 10x140. It could be the crucial or another device holding you back like a pci card. also sometimes a pci slot could be causing a conflict read your asus manual, my kt7a will have a problem if you put a card in pci slot 5 that does not use irq sharing. I didn't realize that and I had my nic in there and was getting all kinds of problems, then I was reading the manual and saw that. I had an asus A7v and I was told not to use the pci slot 1 right after the agp slot.

I can't really tell by that pic, it looks like they are closed.. you are looking at the L1 bridges and if it looks like
this :::: that is locked, if they look like this llll that is unlocked. if you can see the dots [::::] you can take a pencil, like a .05 mechanical pencil and fill the dots in to make straight lines [llll], don't cross the lines or let the lead touch the one next to it, you will blow your chip. use a magnifying glass to make sure they are not touching, if they are erase it and start over.
