hey, I'm a complete newbie at this, but i want to OC my Proccessor, If anyone could guide me through this it would be really helpful.
I haven't actually put together my computer yet, but i ordered all the parts and they should arrive by the end of this week.

You have to go into your bios first, you will usually overclock a proccesor by raising its FSB and/or multiplier (many proccesors have locked multipliers though), RAM speed is related to the FSB and its usually a 1:1 ratio that means that the FSB and RAM run at the same speed, DDR400 is rated at 200mhz and thus a 200mhz FSB is perfect, when you raise the fsb to 220mhz for example the ram will also run at 220mhz, in order to prevent the RAM speed from being a limiting factor when OCing the CPU you use dividers, when you use dividers you can increase the fsb speed without worrying about the RAM reaching its limit. In order to know the speed limit of RAM you can lower the multiplier and increase the FSB using a 1:1 ratio, that way the CPU will run at low frequencies due to the low multiplier but you'll be able to know how much you can push the ram and set up your dividers properly. Two things are important to consider when overclocking, voltage and temperature, usually, a CPU will experience instability at high clockspeeds when it needs more voltage or its running too hot, if you have decent cooling, its most likely the former. You should only increase voltage when you need to and instead try to find the max clockspeed your proccesor can reach at stock voltage while maintaining stable temperatures before upping the voltage.

Thats the basics, there are more things to consider and I'm sure there will be someone who will be able to help you further.
