need help OC E6700 to 3.4-3.6 ghz

hi, anyone with specs similar to mine, would u be kind and give me some advice how to adjust vcore/ram to reach 3.4 or 3.6ghz if possible. I'm currently running at 3.2 (322x10) (stable) at stock voltage. I've try to raised fsb to 340, it would boot to windows, but fail 3dmark05 and super pi 32m 🙁 . any help is appreciated, thanks in advance

err... you're gonna have to up the voltage to get more out of your chip.

drop mem ratio from 2:3 to 4:5 or even 1:1 to isolate your chip first then work on mem and mem timings.

increase vcore voltage from stock to 1.4. this will help you gain stability

If your memory can run stably at 483 then why not try lowering your cpu multiplier to say 8 and run dram/fsb 1:1 and say 425 X 8, 437.5 x8 and then 450X8 testing each setting for stability leaving RAM at 1:1 and say at 5 6 6 22 or some looser timings as you have it now (tighten up later). Take vcore up to around 1.45 to1.475 for now.

Just change the CPU Voltage or Vcore to 1.4V and the FSB to 340 and see what happens.

If it works, then move onto 350FSB same 1.4V. If this fails, well, give it a little more voltage. 1.43-1.45.

And bring the RAM ration to 1:1 (340FSB X 2)

i have already tried this, but the result i had to clear cmos to get it to boot up again.

also i've tried raise fsb to 340mhz, vcore to 1.4 but no success. i guess i have to stick with 3.2ghz with default voltage that way my cpu will last longer 🙂
thanks for the advice guys.

Bring the RAM speed down to 1:1 while you do this to avoid dealing with CPU and RAM problems at the same time.

Just run the RAM 2 X the FSB for now and make sure that you use default or recommended timings.
