I know the cpu (p3 700cbo) will do 1050 @150mhz with the ram in my system because it has been tried on another machine. However on my VH6 -when i set it to 7x150 it actually boots up as a 466 mhz celeron (7x66)-any ideas?

cheers

I would guess that you're using an FCPGA CPU and slocket?? If so, make sure that the FSB on the slocket is set to either deault or 100 FSB. Also, most of the better/newer slockets also have a jumper where you indicate whether you're using an original celeron or a coppermine(PIII's and Celeron II). If you're using a slocket, which one?? If this is done, it should be recognized as a 700 MHZ CPU. Then go into the BIOS and try to overclock. Might need more information to come up with additional possibilities.

JmsAndrsn - would you take a look at my specs and see what you think.P3 700 - Wanting 1GhzI did set my slotket to 133 @1.70, so you are saying it's better to set default and use BIOS. Would this apply to me also - You think??
