Ok...I was opening a thing of super glue, when it exploded all over my fingers! I have major exposer... glued 2 fingers together..... how do I get it off?? :frown: I managed to get my fingers apart...but now it is hardening and I can barely bend my fingers.... HELP PLEASE!!! :Q
 
Try acetone (nail polish remover), it usually works. Or putting my fingers in hot water worked once when I did that as a kid.
 
Oh no... wish I could help, no advice other than get to the hospital.

Or you could just walk out on your roof naked and someone will call them for you. I saw that in a movie once... 😛

Actually, acetone can be hard to find sometimes. Fingernail polish remover is probably not only easier to find, but cheaper and should work just as well.

Edit- The stuff my mom has is specifically non-acetone....will it not work?

I just think it is sad that after realizing you had superglue rapidly drying on your hands you said "Oh I have a good Idea, lemme see what the guys on ATOT would do!" lol try the mineral spirits if you have any around

It should dissolve just about anything! I have to remember to pick some up when I take my trip to TN...

Yep...acetone's the best bet
 
If your fingers aren't stuck together just leave it alone. The natural body oils from your fingers will loosen it and allow you to peel it off within 24 hours.

Had a patient put it in her eye, she thought it was her eye drops, the ER doc said people do that all the time. If the acetone doesn't work give your local ER a call and if you are lucky and talk to a nice nurse, they will tell you what they use.
 
My you're in a sticky situation, no doubt about it!
If you want to get unglued, try the acetone. If that doesn't work, do 3 jumping jacks, then twirl around 4 times counter-clockwise as you chant "stuck no more" while pointing to the floor.

Ok...I just got back from PowerMac4Ever's house... he had some acetone there. It seems to have worked for the most part. Just a small amount left on my fingers. I will just have to wait a day and see if I can get it off then. Thank you for your advice everyone 😀

Thanks to your help, we have managed to turn this potential Chernoble, into a mere Three Mile Island.
