Need help Networking with XP

OK I don't know if I should put this in networking or Operating Systems... cuz I think the problem is with Windows XP although it concerns networking, so I'll put it in both places. I think I have a pretty unique of a setup on my network here at home.. but I'll try to explain it best I can..

Cable Modem > Gateway Computer with 2 Net Cards > Hub > Linux router box (not sure.. my mom needs it to do work) > My mom's computer and her laptop when its home

Right now, I on the Gateway computer, I'm running WIndows XP, and on my mom's computer it's running win 98
I'll cut to the chase here...

Basically.. I used the Win XP wizard to set up my home network... but everytime I restart my computer, my computer just stops sharing the internet with all the other computers. When I look at the settings, the settings haven't changed at all, it just doesn't work. What I keep on having to do, is to run the wizard again, get an error and it resets all my network settings, restart my computer, then run the wizard ONE MORE TIME, and then it works. I have to do this everytime I turn off my computer.

Does anyone know what the problem is? Or better yet know how to fix it?

Thanks in advance!!!

if you used the wizard to set it up, you might need the wizard to make the config diskette for the clients...

alternatively- you may need a blood sacrifice to the ""god of networking""
