PC1 = running win98
PC2 = win 2000

both are hooked up to a hub, hub hooked into cable modem

both pcs are on the same workgroup, each has a different name

I pay for the extra ip for the other computer

heres the thing, for interent, everything is fine, even lan games are fine(they detect each other), but how do i set it up so i can file share between the two pc's?

enable file and print sharing in teh networking properties. youll have to create an account on the Win2k machine for the Win98 machine to connect with

yea you hace to enable file and printer sharing and you have to got into the win2k or whatever comp and allow the guest.When i did it it asked me for a password and then when i enable the guest its worked fine!
