Need help installing car audio

Ok, I'm installing a JVC kd s570 in my 1990 toyota camry and I'm stuck. I removed the factory radio already and I'm looking at the camry's harness. It has two pieces that don't fit into the slot on my jvc. What am I supposed to do? Do I need to buy a wiring harness (i think that's what it's called)? How does that work?

Your JVC should have come with a plug that goes into the head unit with bar wires on the other end. If you don't get a wiring harness, you'll just have to follow the diagram that came with the JVC and cut the wires in the car off the plugs and hook them up manually (solder, wire nuts, twist & electrical tape, whatever).

What does the wiring harness do? Does it connect the car connector directly to the jvc?

Yes. There may be a few loose wires (say, for automatic antenna or something else that may have been an option on your car).
