I just started a new job and I need a laptop. I know nothing about computers. I will be using it for a small business applications. I like it to be easy to use, good to great screen, easy scroll pad, if it is not all that compact that is OK, However if it is compact that is OK to. I would like as many of the bells and whistles you can get on it. I will use it with a separate mouse (I think). If it has great media content that would be nice. I have only looked at office depot. I will mail order if I can save money. My budget is around a $1,000 +/- 200. Thank all of you for your help. My brother said that this was the place to go for Help. Thanks again

Anybody hear anything about whether Dell is going to update their M140 in the near future (next 2 weeks) to include:
1.) Discrete graphics
2.) Core Duo

I am looking at purchase a Core Duo soon, and Dell doesn't currently offer any smaller options (as the E15** and E17** are huge). Current options are HP DV1000t, Asus W6, and Acer (don't remember the model).
