This song comes on at the beginning of the Beastie Boys song Intergalactic.

I have heard it before but I don't remember the name of it. Someone must know.

Are you talking about that three note motif being played in the background?

No there is a classical song at the beginning. Might not be in all versions of the song.

I don't hear it in the basic track. Anyway, after looking it up on Google it's apparently Rachmaninov's Prelude in C Sharp minor (his most famous piece). I guess I sort of hear a tiny snip being played in the background throughout the song.

Edit: Oh, the piece in the clip you sent me is Moussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain. It's in the original Fantasia.

YES! That's it. Just couldn't remember the name.

And yeah no Rachmaninov's is a piece for piano...had someone else tell me that it was that song too...and it must be in another song.

I can't hear it in the original...but the arrangement is probably different. I'll see if I can find it.
