Need help flashing a CDRW

I have a smart and friendly 6424S external SCSI burner, and the firmware is1.3, I have the binary file 1.5 and the flash, but I cannot flash the darn thing. I unzip the file, and then extract it to the directory. I then execute the flash file, and I get a really long wierd error message. I have the bin file. so what do I do. any suggestions or hints as to what I need to do?
