I found a web page with THX sounds in WAV files you could downlod free, I think it was from a scandanavian country. I think I found it from a page talking about setting up foobar2000 to do thx. but all mmy google searches come up with nothing.

can anyone help?

"THX sounds?"

THX is not a format, THX is a standard which companies must meet to be THX certified.

Do you mean THX demos (from DVD)?

I think he mean "The THX Sound" as in the one that plays at the beginning of movies?

Hmm, maybe not though...title says classical 😕

I kinda guessed that too, (the DVD demo suggestion), but beyond that I have no clue what he's looking for.

not the thx sound, these were wav files in THX format, I was using them to test my receiver that it was reciving the THX signal from my revo 7.1 sound card.

As for THX, it is a certification (more $$ than anything else) that certifies equipment for demanding use. Still, it focuses on movies and such, so you see requirements such as 20hz-20khz when music would require more.

Oh, and THX has acoustical demands that require your speakers and amp to match.

OK whatever you call it, these were wav files that would make the dolby DTS light come on on my receiver...
I'm trying to see if windows media center/nvdvd deciders aren't sending the right signals to my receiver.

There was a site that had VOB versions of them in DD5.1. I think the link was posted on AT, but it was a long long time ago.
